BEDFORD SPRINGS Historic Hotel, Windmills & Flight 93 Memorial...$89

In 2007 one of America's great resort hotels reopened its doors after being closed 20 years. It served as the summer white house with seven U.S. Presidents staying on its grounds and a Navy communications center during World War II. The main attraction was the mineral springs that were used for healing. We also explore the multitude of wind mills popping up in Somerset County with a visit to an area farm.

Early morning ride to Pittsburgh train station for our 5:45A.M. departure. Our scenic ride takes us through the Allegheny Mountains into Cumberland, Maryland before noon.You can dine, relax and enjoy this experience. Our motor coach will transport us to the Bedford area to enjoy a meal at the historic Jean Bonnet Tavern built in 1762. Our afternoon stops will be a farm with Windmills and the Flight 93 Memorial site.
