This small town has big history with the oldest golf course in use in the U.S.A. today. This is a popular canoe spot on the Allegheny River with quaint little shops, The Red Brick Art & Craft Gallery. Our visit includes the Foxburg winery and lunch at the beautiful Foxburg Inn overlooking the Allegheny River. A stop will be made in Grove City at the Wendell August Forge for a tour and shopping.

Our tour departs in the morning in time for our 11:00A.M. narrated vintage train ride thru the Valley that Changed Our World, Oil Creek Valley. We will visit the Drakes well, the first successful oil well that started the “Boomtown” that sprang up overnight. The remnants of this past magnificence can still be seen in the graceful Victorian architecture throughout the region. There is Time for lunch on your own. Our afternoon will be spent in Franklin touring the St. John Church and Stain Glass Windows and DeBence Music Museum.

Join us on an early morning ride to Pittsburgh train station for our 5:45A.M. departure. Our scenic ride takes us through the Allegheny Mountains, Cumberland, Maryland and Harpers Ferry, Va. You can dine, relax and enjoy this experience. Harpers Ferry National Park is full of history and color this time of year. Our motor coach will meet us for our return home late evening. This is a great trip you won't want to miss.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN ELK ,LAUREL MT. WINERY Fall Foilage Tour…….……...$69

Our day includes a stop at the Quiet Creek Herb Farm, the B &W Baseball Bat Company for a tour and other area stops. Traveling from Yellowstone Park, Wyoming to Pennsylvania by train, the first herd of 50 Rocky Mountain Elk were introduced into Clearfield and Clinton Counties. The elk herd continues to thrive in numbers near 800 elk. If we are lucky we will see a royal bull, which is one with a total of 12 points.

Our coach will deliver us to Cumberland, Maryland for a round trip ride on Western Maryland Scenic Railroad's “Mountain Thunder” steam train. Upon arrival in Frostburg 1,300 feet up, you will enjoy a “hobo lunch” at the Depot Restaurant, see the train engine turned on the turntable and have some time to browse the gift shops before it's “all aboard” for the return trip. A little time will be allowed in Cumberland before our return home.
