Our first day is our travel day. Day two includes the Berkshire Museum and Scenic Railway Train ride from Lenox to Stockbridge. There is time for lunch in the town of Stockbridge , home of the beloved American illustrator, Norman Rockwell. Our tour continues through the Berkshire Mountain region with a visit to the resort area of Tanglewood. Our second overnight stay is in Ludlow , Mass then we continue to Vermont on day three. Today we visit Billings Farm & Museum, a working dairy operation and heirloom gardens, with time for lunch and shopping in Woodstock Village . Our train adventure is aboard the WHITE RIVER FLYER in vintage coaches (wine tasting included) along the majestic Connecticut River with a view of the White Mountain 's foothills. A photo stop will be made at Quechee Gorge, “ Vermont 's Little Grand Canyon” prior to our overnight stay in Laconia , New Hampshire . Day four our tour will include CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS, a picturesque estate perched high above the lakes and surrounded by three mountains. Lunch will on your own in the Castle's café. Our White Mountain Tour continues through Franconia Notch with a stop at the visitors center and a chance to view the Old Man on the Mountain Site. Out next train adventure is aboard the HOBO SCENIC RAILROAD with a roast turkey dinner, prepared by the famous Hart's Turkey Farm. On day five we'll learn about the interesting process of brewing America 's most popular beer, tour through the famous Clydesdale horse barn , at ANHEUSER-BUSCH FACILITY and continue our travels to Hartford , Connecticut , the Capital city. The Old State House, Mark Twains Family Church, Corning Fountain, Elizabeth Parker Rose Garden and Harriet Beecher Stowe House are just a few of the sites we will visit. Following our overnight in this area our tour will depart mid morning for our return trip home.
