Some of the most beautiful scenery and freshest sounds of the Mountain can be found in the West Virginia Mountains, not far from home. Where the roads won't take us the trains will. The Cheat Mountain Salamander and the CASS RAILROAD are two trains we will ride the country side on. Each one takes you on a journey into areas that are noted for their natural beauty and seclusion while showcasing the different modes of rail transportation that were once so much a part of the fabric of American Life. Our fun will continue as we are entertained by two Music Shows, the American Mountain Theater, AMT morning show and Appalachian Music after dinner. The American Mountain Theater is a new multi –million dollar facility in Elkins, West Virginia. High energy, Branson style entertainers sing gospel, bluegrass and patriotic music and popular selections through the years. Our visit also includes the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank. Come along for a fun packed entertaining weekend.
